I hope you enjoy this website, the personal website of me, Bruce Gilbert
This site was set up to house information about myself including links to my resume, blog, skill-set and portfolio.
This site is a work in progress and will always be improving and evolving. I plan to add a print style-sheet in the future, and make the site more mobile friendly and responsive.
I often get asked how I came up with Inspired–Evolution.com. It’s pretty simple.
I find web development inspiring as well as technology. This industry and technology as a whole is in a constant evolutionary process, becoming faster, lighter-weight and more mobile. If someone mentioned HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, and JSON, a few years ago you would have said "wha?", now these are must have skills in today's web world.
In order to compete and excel in this arena you need to be constantly researching and learning. I am defintitely someone who is always learning and experimenting with new ideas and different ways of doing things.
This site is a constant work in progress and a labor of love. It needs improving in a variety of ways. For one it is woefully unresponsive and won't look good on a smart phone. Secondly, I need to create a print style sheet. Lastly, I need to convert from XHTML to HTML 5. I hope to do this within the year.
Another person who was always willing to take risk and was constantly seeking different and better ways to evolve technology was Steve Jobs. I am not comparing myself to Steve in terms of achievement and accomplishment, or even as a visionary but we do share a lot of the same philosophies.
Steve once said of Apple, they were at the corner of Liberal Arts and Information Technology Streets when it came to their product development and products. I am at the same street corner! I have the knowledge and know-how to develop IT applications and the artistic and creative thinking to make them look great!
Evolution is Inspiring, so always be willing to take risk, be creative, be innovative and enjoy what you do!
